Local Area Hyatt's Prove it is Not All About Business Through Their Community Service Efforts

CAMBRIDGE, MA (May 6, 2016) – This April in relation to Hyatt’s community service month, the local area Hyatt Regency hotels participated in multiple projects to improve the community around us. These projects included a children’s book collection, multiple Boston area clean ups, sponsorship of the Kid’s Wish Network, and raising money for local schools through casual for a cause.

The three hotels, which consist of Hyatt Boston Regency, Hyatt Cambridge Regency and Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor, gathered over 450 children’s books that will be donated to local public schools in the greater Boston Area that are in desperate need of books. In relation to the 450 books that were donated the hotels also raised over 200 dollars through their casual for a cause program that will be used to buy more books for local schools.

Both the Hyatt Regency Boston and Hyatt Regency Cambridge participated in cleanup efforts around the city. Hyatt Regency Boston took part in Boston Shines day, were they spent the day cleaning tree grates and sidewalks around the Downtown Crossing Area. While Hyatt Regency Cambridge cleaned up around the Charles River. They were able to prevent 9 trash bags of debris from polluting the Charles River.

Hyatt Regency Cambridge also welcomed a special guest this month to their hotel. Hyatt sponsored Liam’s special wish through the Kid’s Wish Network and provided him and his family accommodations while they made his dream come true at the Red Sox game.
